We don't just want to see the Sahyadri,
we want to preserve it.
The forts standing in the Sahyadri are not merely a legacy of stone and soil; they are living treasures of our history, culture and identity.
They carry the legacy of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj's Swarajya, the Mavalas who worked for it, and the rich tradition preserved by our ancestors.
This heritage is not meant only to be spoken of with pride. It is meant to inspire action in the present. The desire to contribute towards Maharashtra, our country and the conservation of our cultural heritage was present since school days. But why wait until we grow older? Why not do something within our capacity while we are students and in college? This thought became the beginning of a small effort.
Why wait until later? Can't we contribute in our own way while we are still students and in college?

This thought became the beginning of a small effort. On 3 June 2024, the journey of Sevak Sahyadriche began with seven Mavalas.
From one campaign
to many initiatives
What began with cleaning historic forts gradually received support from the community and young people.
With every campaign, new people joined, new ideas emerged, and the scope of the work continued to grow.
What started with fort cleanliness eventually expanded into diverse social, historical and environmentally responsible initiatives.
Historic forts are not merely tourist destinations,
they are living monuments of history.
Cleanliness is not merely a campaign; it is a social responsibility. And history is not only the past; it is an inspiration for shaping the present.
This philosophy gradually broadened the direction of Sevak Sahyadriche's work.

For us, history is not merely the study of the past. Our focus is to draw inspiration from the work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj — leadership, discipline, planning, management, environmental awareness, social responsibility and nation-building — and bring these values into life today.
